The Bacton Art Group (BAG) has been established for many years and has proved very popular. We are a group of like-minded artists coming together once a week to enjoy each other's company plus paint and draw in a creative environment. Currently we have 19 dedicated members, both men and women, with numerous years artistic experience between us. We range in age and abilities from beginners to experienced artists and our members work in a range of mediums, from coloured and graphite pencils, pastels, watercolours, to oils and acrylics. We have group membership to the SAA (Society Amateur Artists), providing us with various benefits and discounts.

The annexe at Bacton Village Hall offers an ideal tranquil and modern environment in which to enjoy our passion and exchange artistic ideas, techniques and views, often resulting in lively conversation. The venue offers ample parking, a (disabled) toilet plus tea and coffee making facilities. We meet every Monday afternoon from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, but unfortunately due to the size of the annexe we have to restrict our membership. We have an annual membership fee of £10, to cover administration expenses and we charge £2.00 per person each session to cover the cost of the hall, which includes a free cup of coffee or tea plus a biscuit, and is only payable upon attendance.

Whilst no formal tuition is offered, our members have a wealth of experience and are willing to share it. The group is open to anyone of any age and any experience (from absolute beginner to expert). People are most welcome to come along to meet us, see what we do and to ask questions, without payment or obligation, before deciding if they would like to join us - we might even offer a free cup of tea or coffee.

Our extra mural activities include exhibitions at Bacton Village Hall, when the public are invited to attend and purchase some of our artwork. We also have demonstrations and workshops, by guest artists on various techniques using different mediums, throughout the year, plus we always have an annual lunch together locally.
